Our Carbon Footprint

 

Background:

The intention to provide information about our carbon footprint in relation to the domainspecialist.com buying and selling activities originated from friends and relatives asking whether our domain business also contributes to Climate Change.

 

The challenge was how to categorize and get reliable information about what the environmental impact our business activities where.

 

To the best of our knowledge this has not been done with any internet domain business before and was a challenge we wanted to embrace.

 

As a result of longer research we asked  carbonfootprint.com to make a professional assessment of our carbon footprint in order to help us offset our environmental impacts caused running domainspecialist.com.

 

 

Our Carbon Footprint:

This assessment resulted in approximately 500 kg of CO2 pollution annually.

We chose to offset this by purchasing an offset from carbonfootprint.com for the equivilant of around 1000 kg of CO2 annualy to make sure that all our emissions where covered. 

 

We also decided that this offsetting is done by planting trees to offset domainspecialist.com CO2 emissions and reduce our carbon footprint.
